Until December Charles Gilliam was the Register of Deeds of Wake County.
He has been an attorney for almost forty years and before that was an accountant and bank manager. In 2014 he was appointed District Court Judge by Governor McCrory. As an attorney, he practiced in corporate finance, M&A, international trade and intellectual property. He holds three college degrees: BS, MBA and JD summa cum laude.
As an avocation he has visited 80 countries and as an occupation he is an inventor of about 30 patents worldwide.
