Renee Miller
Candidate for Chair

Renee is a lifelong Republican – the first registered in her family.  Later her family became more active in local and state Republican politics where her mother served in the North Carolina General Assembly.  Soon after moving to Cary, Renee joined the Western Wake Republican Club where she became First Vice President of Programs in 2013.  She remained in that office until 2016 when she became President.  During the 2018 Election, Renee recognized a need to build a greater presence outside Early Voting Sites in Western Wake.  Starting with the municipal elections, Renee was able to fill 100% of the volunteer needs for the Cary and Apex Early voting sites.  In 2020, Renee created the Western Wake Task Force, a working group of Wake GOP Regional Chairs in Western and, later, Southern Wake.  This combined effort resulted in unprecedented early voting and election day poll greeters and workers.

Renee Miller began her career at GE Capital moving on to grow her own human resource management consulting firm which served Fortune 500 and Inc. 500 companies.  As her family grew, homeschooling quickly became important.  For the past 16 years, Renee has educated her children through high school.  During that time, Renee has been an active volunteer, serving the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association as the Black Mountain National Open Judge Coordinator.  She also has helped students through volunteering with the local speech and debate club and the FIRST Robotics team.

Renee is a resident of Cary where she and her husband have raised 3 children.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dallas and a Master of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
